This blue-green Acaena is a fast growing, evergreen, mat-forming ornamental perennial from New Zealand. With its finely feathered foliage and the contrasting rust-red burrs, this plant is a valuable ground cover for flower beds, rock gardens, grave plantings and dry stone walls. Also known as New Zealand burr, Acaena buchananii does not withstand winter waterlogging and black frost very well (tip: protect the plant with brushwood).Flower colour: White
