Product information "Carex foliosissima 'Irish Green'"
This sedge is an evergreen, ground-covering grass that spreads like a carpet. It is particularly well suited for mass plantings. It spreads by runners relatively fast and very dense, so weeds hardly have a chance. The variety 'Irish Green' (Carex morrowii ssp. foliosissima 'Irish Green') has soft, overhanging, evergreen foliage that is deep dark green. It prefers semi-shaded to shaded locations with humus-rich, loose, well-drained soils. From April to May, the typical brownish spikes form. This adaptable sedge can be used in shady, large plantings together with woody plants.Flower colour: Yellow, brown
