This is a beautiful, two-toned mint for cottage gardens that brings flares of light to your herb bed.Mentha suaveolens 'Variegata' grows upright, with up to 50 cm high stems. The wide, lanceolate, toothed leaves are very wrinkled and have an almost white edge.
This colourful pineapple mint is not as vigorous as its “colleagues” and it blooms from July to September.
It can be grown in containers or in planters so that one can have this spice quasi right at the doorstep.
Pineapple mint prefers a sunny to partially shaded location in fresh, humus-rich soil.
It is very hardy.
