Product information "Darmera peltata"

Umbrella plant is a striking perennial for the edge of water that is considered to be a water plant. It is very striking due to its pale pink umbels that appear on 50 cm tall stems at the end of April. After that, the very attractive, shield-shaped leave that are notched at the edge can reach a height of up to 80 cm. Darmera peltata has clump-like, dense, bushy and expansive growth. The umbrella plant prefers sunny to partially shady locations with well-drained, nutrient-rich, wet soils. Darmera peltata can be used in very moist perennial beds, near shrubs, by streams and at the edge of ponds. The intense autumn colouration in all imaginable shades of copper makes this plant a very valuable ornamental perennial.
