The peach-leaved bellflower is probably the best known among the tall-growing bellflowers, here in the pure white version. This perennial has a rather loose, clump-like growth; it spreads by daughter rosettes and thus covers large areas relatively quickly. It is evergreen and in June and July, numerous, loose panicles with very large, light violet, bell-shaped flowers appears above the fine, lanceolate foliage. This plant prefers well-drained, humus-rich and fresh soils in full sun to partial shade. But even in drier sites this bellflower develops very well.
