Product information "Catananche caerulea"

Cupid's dart is a very graceful perennial that looks like the cornflower. The lanceolate leaves form basal rosettes, from which bunches of flowers develop. From July until well into September, Cupid's dart forms numerous, pale violet-blue flowers on medium tall, upright stems and narrow, silvery green leaves. It prefers locations in full sun with well-drained, calcareous soils. Constantly damp locations should be avoided. Cupid's dart can be used in perennial borders, rock gardens, stone enclosures and natural plantings. It is also particularly well suited as a cut flower and dried flower arrangements. It is hardy to -15°C, however a brushwood cover during prolonged periods of frost is advisable.
