Foeniculum vulgare 'Rubrum' is the ornamental form of the culinary fennel, but it is equally useful as it is decorative. With its high growth, of up to 1.8m, the fine-feathered, bronze foliage and the yellow umbels that appear in July/August, it is very ornamental, both in vegetable gardens, as well as in perennial beds.It is a great partner for roses, in which the fine, contrast-rich foliage adds a special effect.
