This garden or meadow yarrow has warm red, slightly curved, plate-like flowers that change to a delicate pink colour during flowering. Its foliage is finely feathered with an aromatic fragrance. It has a spreading habit and it prefers nutrient-rich soil in a location with full sun. Achillea millefolium 'Kirschkönigin' is a rewarding plant for cutting and borders that should be planted in every garden; it is also ideal asa bee pasture. Use this plant in the foreground of perennial borders, mixed borders and cottage gardens.
