Product information "Astrantia major 'Roma' (R)"
This variety flowers in a delicate, light silvery, dusty pink colour. Great masterwort is becoming more and more popular due to its particularly delicate, star-shaped blossoms and very long flowering period. It starts to bloom in late May. If the flowers are remove in time after they bloom, there will usually be a second bloom in September. The flowers are in dense, simple clusters above the lush green, palmate, fingered leaves. It has clump-forming growth and it needs some time to grow to its full size. This plant prefers a sunnier to partially shaded location in normal, fresh and well-drained garden soils without waterlogging. It works well in any perennial bed as well as in mixed borders as a beautiful eye-catcher in the centre of the planting. As a cut flower it gives bouquets that certain romantic something. It is native as a wild plant in many parts of Central Europe; in our region it is mainly located in the lower altitudes of the Alps, and in the low mountain ranges.Flower colour: Pink
