Product information "Digitalis purpurea 'Apricot'"

This native perennial also has garden potential. This apricot-flowered foxglove brings light into dark shadows corners of every garden. It has a clump-like habit and reseeds itself very easily. Starting in June, the tall, one-sided, overhanging flower clusters that are completely covered with apricot-coloured, thimble or bell-shaped flowers appear above the oval-lanceolate, softly hairy leaves. Digitalis purpurea 'Apricot' prefers shady sites with fresh, humus-rich and well-drained soil. It is suitable for shady perennial borders, natural plantings under trees and near shrubs. Due to its beautiful appearance, this perennial is especially good in conjunction with masterworts, grasses, and tall growing bellflowers. Caution: all parts of this plant are poisonous!
