Product information "Geranium x cantabrigiense 'Berggarten'"
Geranium x cantabrigiense 'Berggarten' is a petite, but still vigorous, selected variety from Geranium maccrorrhizum x dalmaticum. The spicy scented, green foliage has a bright red colour in autumn. The delicate, light carmine pink, nodding flowers appear from May to July. They are reminiscent of small lanterns because of the rounded, inflated sepals that produce this impression. This cranesbill has a very distinctive bloom.
It is a very healthy variety that can be planted well in places where the large geranium varieties seem too high and too bold, i.e. under Acer palmatum 'Dissectum'.
'Berggarten' is an undemanding perennial. A sunny location in loose, well-drained soil is ideal. This plant has good hardiness.
