Product information "Hippuris vulgaris"

Mare's tail is an undemanding water plant that loves nutrient-rich water. Because it removes the nutrients from the water and supplies oxygen, it also inhibits the growth of algae.
Hippuris vulgaris grows horizontal roots from which the new fronds develop. The leaves are narrow and reminiscent of pine needles.
It grows up to 30 cm high and the tips stick out of the water. It has particularly unique effect when planted in groups.
This water plant is not only suitable for ponds but also for containers or in a zinc tub on balconies.
