Product information "Acorus calamus 'Variegatus'"
Variegated sweet flag or calamus is a white-striped version of sweet flag. From June to July, small, yellowish-green flowers appear above the basal tuft of leaves with erect stems. The leaves are narrow, whitish green and sword-shaped at the tips. The spadix, like the entire flower, exudes a fine, aromatic fragrance. It grows with creeping rhizomes and does not spread as vigorously as the original form. This plant for pond edges grows particularly well in mucky waters up to a water depth of 30 cm. Acorus calamus has very high nutritional requirements and is therefore very suitable for restoring bodies of water.
