Product information "Euphorbia x martinii"

Martin's spurge is one of the most stately spurges. It grows very broad and bushy. The narrow, lanceolate, pointed, dark green leathery leaves sit on reddish stems. As of May, the greenish yellow umbels that actually consist of bracts with tiny flowers and red honey dew glands appear. Euphorbia x martini prefers sunny to semi-shady, warm sites with well-drained, not too fertile soil. It can be used in perennial beds, rock gardens, stone enclosures, and also in dry areas near shrubs. In the winter, a slight protection using brushwood should be given in order to protect it from drying out in the winter sun. Contact with the plant’s milky sap causes skin irritation, therefore gloves should be worn when handling the plant.
