Product information "Dodecatheon meadia"

Shooting stars or American cowslip is a plant for enthusiasts because not everyone has it. Its growth is upright with basal rosettes. From May to June, dark pink umbels appear on tall stems above the dark green, leathery, lance-shaped leaves. The individual flowers are very similar to those of cyclamen. Dodecatheon meadia prefers partial shade with well-drained, fresh and nutrient-rich soils. It can be used between and in front of trees and in shaded beds. After flowering, this plant withers back completely, so you should pay special attention to plant accompanying plants that will cover the bald spots. Dodecatheon meadia is also suitable for cutting.
