Product information "Chasmanthium latifolium"

Northern sea oats or spangle grass is a structure plant that is an asset to any larger planting. It has clump-like, upright growth. It has narrow, elongated, deep green stalks. Decorative, flat, brownish to coppery, overhanging spikes appear above the stalks starting in August. Chasmanthium latifolium develops particularly well in sunny to partially shaded locations with moist to slightly moist, but well-drained soils. This pretty grass can be used in larger perennial borders, natural plantings and also in large containers. The spikes are very attractive in bouquets and for dried flower arrangements. A complete pruning in the spring promotes new growth.
