Product information "Agapanthus africanus 'Blue Triumphator'"

The African lily ‘Blue Triumphator‘ is a particularly large-flowered evergreen variety. It is an outstanding and not yet well known plant. Large, medium blue balls of flowers comprised of many small flowers appear from late June until September up to 70 cm above the lush green, lanceolate leaves. Agapanthus africanus is native to South Africa and is therefore not completely hardy. It should be grown in pots. It is ideal for patios and balconies and is a real eye-catcher. Itfeels most comfortable in a container with a loose and permeable soil in a sunny location. However, it must be ensured that it is always supplied with sufficient moisture; waterlogging should be avoided. Overwintering should be carried out in a light and frost-free area with temperatures up to 17°C; as soon as the days are frost free, the plant should be taken outside.
