Product information "Alcalthaea x suffrutescens 'Parkrondell'"

This very attractive, pink-coloured hollyhock is a real eye-catcher and the sister of 'Parkallee'. Countless, slightly branched inflorescences with pink, semi-double, cup-shaped flowers stand above the vigorous shrub with its rounded, lobed, palmate, matt green leaves. The plant grows up to 220 cm tall and blooms from mid-July until well into September. It is especially good for sunny borders, mixed borders, cottage gardens, natural plantings as well as a cut flower. It also looks especially impressive as a solitary tree. It prefers a location with dry, fresh and fresh, well-drained soil, which should be decalcified. In addition, no waterlogging should occur in winter. A light winter protection is recommended. Furthermore, this plant is not subject to the dreaded hollyhock rust. One feature is the sterility of this variety. It is a cross between Alcea rosea and Althaea officinalis.
