Product information "Dianthus carthusianorum"
Carthusian pink is a native perennial that can be used well in our gardens. It forms dense carpets very fast and has a grass-like growth. Its inflorescences are about 40 cm high. From June until well into September, numerous, small, pink carnation flowers appear above the dark green, very delicate, grassy, evergreen foliage. This perennial is characterised by its subtle carnation scent. Dianthus carthusianorum prefers locations in full sun with well-drained, warm, rather barren and rocky to sandy soils. It can be used in various ways and is particularly well suited for rock gardens, stone enclosures, stairways, green roofs and natural plantings. Pruning in September promotes flowering in autumn. Naturalising in suitable lawn areas and beds is possible.Flower colour: Red
