Product information "Carex umbrosa"
Umbrosa sedge is a native forest grass that is also suitable for planting in gardens. It has clump-like growth with overhanging stalks and it is evergreen. The stalks are very fine, narrow, rough and light green. From April to June, it forms many small, brownish ears. It prefers semi-shaded to shady locations in fresh, well-drained soils. Umbrosa sedge can be used in partially shaded perennial borders, rock gardens, natural gardens or as a ground cover under sparse woody plants. In conjunction with flowering perennials such creeping navelwort, heartleaf foamflower, shade-tolerant cranesbills and many other perennials for shade, rather small grass is particularly attractive.Flower colour: Brown
