Product information "Hepatica nobilis"
Common liverleaf is a charming, native wild perennial. The large number of small, blue flowers appear in March to April. This early bloomer, with its blue, star-shaped flowers and the three-lobed, light green foliage, loves a rich, well-drained soil and loamy soil in a partially shaded location; for example, near high trees that have not yet taken leaf. Most of all, common liverleaf likes beech trees and other deciduous trees. It is rare to find it amongst conifers.
Hepatica nobilis likes limestone; it does not tolerate acidic soil well. Once planted, the plant should be left to grow undisturbed, then a beautiful plant carpet will develop.
This perennial can be combined well with winter aconite or wood anemones.
