Product information "Campanula portenschlagiana 'Resholt'"

This bellflower is a lush flowering, small perennial. It should be in every rock garden. It is compacter and more dense than the other varieties. It spreads relatively quickly via short underground runners, forming dense carpets and cushions. It has oval to roundish, dark green foliage. Elongated, star-shaped, dark violet flowers appear from June until well into August. This plant prefers locations in full sun with well-drained, dry soil. It performs especially well in perennial beds, borders, rock gardens, on stairways as well as in trough and containers. It can also be very attractive in drywalls. In conjunction with other cushion-forming rock garden perennials Campanula portenschlagiana provides a very good effect.
