Product information "Alcalthaea x suffrutescens 'Parkallee'"

This very showy, creamy yellow hollyhock is a real eye-catcher. Numerous, slightly branched inflorescences with creamy yellow, semi-double, cup-shaped flowers are located above the vigorous shrub with rounded, palmate, lobed, matt green leaves. This perennial grows up to 220 cm tall and blooms from mid-July until well into September. It is especially good for sunny borders, mixed borders, cottage gardens, natural plantings as well as a cut flower. It looks especially impressive as a solitary tree. It prefers a site with dry, fresh and well-drained soil, which should be decalcified. In addition, no waterlogging may occur in the winter. A light winter protection is recommended. Furthermore, they also do not get the dreaded hollyhock rust. One feature is the sterility of the variety. This hollyhock is a cross between Alcea rosea and Althaea officinalis.
