Product information "Asphodeline lutea"

King's spear is an absolute star in a sunny Mediterranean-style planting. It has tight, upright, clump-like and stable growth and is about 80 cm high. Small, bright light yellow flowers that give off a very pleasant fragrance appear above fine blue-green, leek-shaped foliage from May to June. Over the years, large stocks of this plant may arise, as it forms short runners. King's spear prefers sunny locations and grows well in well-drained, humus-rich soils and dry conditions. It is especially ideal for steppe gardens or rockeries and rocky slopes. Good companions for Asphodeline include catnip, lavender, globe thistles and eryngo, which allow the bright yellow to glow even more.
