Product information "Hemerocallis lilioasphodelus (-flava)"

This lemon yellow-blooming daylily is characterized by its early flowering period and has a fragrance that is reminiscent of oranges. It is a type of daylily that one can discover on walks in the “wild”.

Hemerocallis lilioasphodelus flava has a clump-like habit. The leaves are long and narrow, and above them, the funnel-like, open, light yellow flowers appear on strong stems.

The name “daylily” refers to the fact that each flower blooms for only one day, but Hemerocallis has many flowers. It blooms continuously from May through June.

Daylilies tolerate any normal garden soil, in a not too dry, sunny or semi-shady location. They bloom better in the sun and are beautiful in combination with Nepeta, Alchemilla mollis or Hosta. This daylily is ideal for natural plantings or garden ponds.
