Product information "Hesperis matronalis"

Sweet rocket is a graceful flowering perennial with a fragrant scent that unfolds in the evening.

Hesperis matronalis grows between 40 -100 cm tall. It has lanceolate, green leaves, which may be slightly hairy. The purple, open flowers are visible from May to July.

Sweet rocket exudes its sweet smell of violets in the evenings and attracts moths for pollination. If they are planted near a terrace or a patio, you can enjoy the wonderful scent during an evening glass of wine.

Originally from river and stream valleys, Hesperis matronalis prefers a location with fresh, humus-rich, loose and nutrient-rich soil. Sweet rocket is also shade tolerant.
