Product information "Blueberry Pinkberry® Pink Lemonade®"

If one investigates the pedigree of Pink Lemonade®, one quickly realises that even in their 'veins' a certain part of Rabbiteye blood flows. The background of Rabbiteye blueberries makes Buddy Blue the perfect mate for Pink Lemonade®. Our trials in recent years have shown that Pink Lemonade® bears fruit alone, but that the yield is left to be desired. Planting another genetically related blueberry next to it works wonders. The latest blueberry variety Buddy Blue, which belongs to the so-called Rabbiteye group of blueberries, has shown the best results.

Maturity:August/September, somewhat successive
Fruits: First, the fruits are light green during vegetation, then light pink, and finally they mature to a deep pink-pink colour
Taste: Sweet, with a firm, pleasant texture
Yield: High, reliable yield
Growth/health: Very upright, bushy growth, with fine, pointed leaves, it is fully grown after 7-10 years and reaches a height of up to 120-150 cm
Location: Requires a bog garden; it is also suitable for planting as an ornamental fruit plant in a mixed bed or mixed border
(Crossbreeding: V. corymbosum x Delite (V. ashei), Breeder: Mark Ehlenfeldt, USDA-ARS)

Different Pollinators (Val)

Hello, I've just e-mailed you the question: What other blueberry varieties will this pollinate with? - I meant to say, other than Buddy Blue.

pollinator fpr pnkberry (Markus Kobelt)

The pollinator should be a bleuberry of the rabbiteye-blueberry group. Ther are not too many of this group in Europe

Pollination & Soil Type (Val)

Hello, What other blueberry varieties will this pollinate with? Also, I see you say that it should be planted in a bog garden (wet soil). Does that mean that normal blueberry soil (well-drained and acidic) is not suitable?

bogbed (Markus Kobelt)

The bogbed must not be wet, it must be acid, with a low ph of 4-5

Markus
