Lowfruits
Low-hanging fruits mean as a phrase “easily and quickly attainable goals”, the rapid fulfillment of desire. This – both figuratively and literally – is exactly what is possible with our Lowfruit® series: Fruit plants that can be grown and harvested simply and without problems in small spaces, in the garden, on a balcony or terrace, and they are no taller than a metre. The fruits of temptation have never hung lower!

After years of breeding, the dream is now a reality: we are able to introduce the first two plants in our Lowfruit® series: the first two Lowberries®, the thornless, compact autumn raspberry Little Red Princess® and the thornless autumn blackberry Little Black Prince®. Both are only between 60 and 100 cm high and bear fruit on 1-year-old shoots in August to September. Gardening has never been easier since Gulliver's travels to the dwarfs! Step inside the Berry Land of Gnomes!

Tips

Growing in pots   Of course, like no other berry plants, the Lowberries® are suitable for pots. Be sure to always use a planter with good water drainage; this can be improved with additional holes and gravel in the bottom of the pot. Please choose a coarse substrate with a stable structure; a potting soil for container plants is best.

These are plants that can be enjoyed immediately and without effort once planted.
  • Lubera Breeding This plant was bred by Lubera in Switzerland and placed on the market after extensive testing at our facilities in Buchs (CH) and Bad Zwischenahn (D). "Lowberry® Raspberry Little Red Princess®" (sonja dreher)

Hello,
If you plant our Lowberries® now ( you don't need to sow them), then they will most likely fruit in 2016, especially if you choose the bigger plant in a 5 ltr. pot.

kind regards
Your Lubera Team
