Product information "Raspberry Salmonberry 'Olympic Double'"

Actually, one should call them magnificent raspberries, with their beautiful, spectacular flowers: Fine, but intensely pink-coloured, double flowers.Like an English rose bloom, a beautiful almost double rose rosette.

The double flowering variety 'Olympic Double' is more compact and ripens later. It bears slightly less fruit (quite obviously due to the many petals which make the pollination not quite so perfect...). Do you want more fruit? Or rather the fantastic flowers? It is best to plant both varieties at the same time and you will surely experience both: the pleasure for the palate and the delight for the eye!
Cultivation: Bears fruit on the two-year-old and multi-year canes
Maturity: Somewhat after 'Pacific Rose', together with the earliest summer raspberries
Flowers: Pink to red, large flowers in June, little fragrance, but a beautiful rosette of flowers, almost reminiscent of English roses!
A veritably magnificent raspberry!
Fruits: Raspberry-like fruits, somewhat smaller than the wild form, yellow-orange to bright red, sweet; 'Olympic Double' produces slightly less fruit than 'Pacific Rose' because of the extremely double flowers and the more difficult pollination
Habit: Shrubby, upright, up to 1.5 m high, weaker growing than 'Pacific Rose', forms runners, barbed, absolutely hardy and robust; even thrives in shaded areas
