Dry leaves on Raspberry Two-timer Sugana (Jenny Roberts)

Hi I've just read Mark's query about dying leaves - this is happening to some of my raspberries too. I bought 10 plants, and three are affected so far, two really badly. I've also noticed browning at the base of the new stems on all the plants. I've watered regularly throughout the hot weather. It's such a shame as they were doing so well. What can I do to help them? I used Rootgrow when I planted them at first, and certainly some of them see to have good root systems. Will they survive? I love Markus's emails and quite agree about going on holiday. We are on the West Wales coast, so have no need to anyway!

Dry leaves (Mark)

Hi, I bought a plant in March, it is the end of May now, and it had been growing well until a week ago when leaves started to dry out and looks wilted. I have been watering daily. The plant stands in the sun. It has been hot lately, 28 degrees. What am doing wrong? Too much water? Wrong soil? What????

Virus resistance? (Tim Wilson)

According to Lubera, Sugana is very root rot resistance. How does it stand up to viruses like Raspberry dwarf virus or mosaic disease as well as resistance to the biotypes 1 to 4 of the large raspberry aphid which breeders at East Malling Reseach try to introduce into all of their modern cultivars? Thankyou.
