Product information "Raspberry Salmonberry 'Pacific Rose'"

The salmonberry, Rubus spectabilis has beautiful flowers: fine, but intensely pink-coloured, simple flowers in large numbers.
This variety is somewhat stronger growing, it ripens earlier and is also more abundant than 'Olympic Double' and the shrub is a bit faster growing. Do you want more fruit? Or rather the fantastic flowers? It is best to plant both varieties at the same time and you will surely experience both: the pleasure for the palate and the delight for the eye!
Cultivation: Bears fruit on the two-year-old and multi-year canes
Maturity: Before the first summer raspberries, from about mid-June
Flowers: Pink-coloured, large flowers in May, rich flowering and fragrant
Fruits: Large, raspberry-like fruits, yellow-orange to bright red, sweet and firm, greater yield than 'Olympic Double'
Habit: Shrub-like, upright, 1.5 to 2 m high, slightly spiked, forms runners, but still a fairly compact bush, absolutely hardy and robust
Speciality: Prefers moist, permeable sites, also thrives in shaded areas. Needs more moisture than normal raspberries
Use: Snacking and for making jam
