What are Primeberry® and where do they come from?
Primeberry® is the name of the new, completely thornless and resistant autumn raspberries that have been bred in East Malling byFelicidad Fernandez. They were selected by Lubera and have been brought exclusively on the market to Europe.
The 100-year-old Research Institute East Malling, Kent (UK)
East Malling is probably the most famous European Research Institute of Pomology and celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2013. Globally, 80% of all fruit trees are grafted on M or MM rootstocks, all of which were bred in East Malling. We at Lubera are proud that we work closely with East Malling. For example, we select raspberry varieties for the home garden market in East Malling and bring these varieties exclusively to the European market.
