Product information "Sea Buckthorn 'Botanica'"
The sea buckthorn Botanica has Eastern European roots and tastes much more pleasant than its German relatives when freshly consumed. It tastes milder due to the less acidity. It is packed with healthy substances such as vitamins, secondary plant substances and valuable oils.Botanica can already be harvested starting from August; it can be used for fresh consumption and further processing in all kinds of food and drinks. It has fewer thorns than the German sea buckthorn varieties and a very high health potential!
Growth/height: Branched, pyramidal, 3 - 4 m high and 2.5 m wide, very short thorns in the upper part
Cultivation/yield: Up to 15 - 20 kg from a bush (about 8 years old)
Fruits: Very large, bright orange yellow, oval fruits, 12.5 x 10.5 mm, 0.7 - 0.85 g, sweet-sour with a pleasant aroma
Contents: The berries contain vitamin C (900 mg / 100 g), vitamin A and E, carotenoids, flavonoids; the oil content is higher than in German varieties such as 'Frugana' and 'Leikora'
