Blueberries - a new research area at Lubera
In the last 5-10 years, blueberries have become one of the best-selling soft fruit species. We have therefore intensified our selection efforts accordingly and have selected the best tasting varieties for you (Blue Dessert, Blueroma, as well as Sunshine Blue). Thanks to our second production site in Ammerland near Oldenburg (with bog-like soil), we are now more and more intensely breeding and selecting blueberries. With regard to the global diversity of varieties and species it is first crucial to the test the blueberries, which are becoming increasingly popular, in terms of their suitability for gardens. Because even with the blueberries, as with many other types of fruit, they are almost only grown for commercial cultivation.

Not self pollinating! (Steve)

Brigitta Blue is known to be in scientific/agricultural circles self infertile(not self pollinating) as its corolla part of the flowers are defective, therefore it's needs a pollinating partner e.g Bluecrop to give a crop.
