Product information "Swiss Willow"

Salix helvetica is a bushy, deciduous shrub that grows to about 60 cm high. It has ochre-coloured shoots and woolly, silver-green foliage. Large, golden yellow, catkins appear in late spring. Spikes of white, cup-shaped flowers bloom from June to July. Slightly prune the plant after flowering.
Commonly known as Swiss willow, this dwarf willow prefers a sunny location in fresh to moist soil. It is very hardy and tolerates temperatures down to -35°C. This shrub is ideal for rockeries and rooftop gardens, as well as a container plant. It is also suitable for windy, coastal gardens.
