Lubera stops plant deliveries to the UK
Due to Brexit, we are not able to deliver to the UK. We are working on a solution on how we can continue to bring a wide range of Lubera plants to the UK and directly to our customers' homes in the future. However, such a solution will not be available before 2022 or 2023.

Product information "Lawson's Cypress 'Ellwoodii'"

Lawson’s cypress 'Ellwoodii' has a very dense, upright habit. It grows narrow, conical and relatively slow. After ten years it reaches a height of 1 m; very old specimens can also be 2 to 3 m high.

Evergreen needles

The fine, feathery needles have an intense, blue-grey colour. As an evergreen conifer, Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Ellwoodii' is also a beautiful sight in the autumn and winter months. During this time, it needles turn steel blue.

Grows almost everywhere

This Lawson’s cypress has no special requirements for the soil: it thrives in both acidic and alkaline substrates. Even in the light, it is flexible and can tolerate both sunny and shady sites.

A privacy screen and an attraction

Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Ellwoodii' is versatile in the garden. Its dense growth makes it, in the longer term, a good, medium-high privacy screen. However, its slow growth requires some patience. This sturdy, evergreen conifer with its uniform growth habit is also a permanent attraction in planters and as a structure plant in mixed beds together with perennials and summer flowers. It is also ideal for gardens, terraces, balconies and courtyards.
