Product information "Geum rivale"

Water avens is a native wild plant, which is frequented in spring by numerous insects and bees. The small, nodding, yellowish flowers with red sepals appear from the end of April to July.
The dark green, hairy leaves of the leaf rosette is evergreen, even in mild winters. In autumn, Geum rivale presents is ornamental seeds in the form of small, hard nuts that spread by clinging with their velcro hooks.
As its name suggests, water avens is well suited for ponds and stream edges, wet meadows, ditches and marshy areas. It is very pretty in combination with Myosotis scorpioides. It prefers sun to partial shade and had good hardiness.
