Lubera stops plant deliveries to the UK
Due to Brexit, we are not able to deliver to the UK. We are working on a solution on how we can continue to bring a wide range of Lubera plants to the UK and directly to our customers' homes in the future. However, such a solution will not be available before 2022 or 2023.

Planting Lubera® Vite™ asparagus

Location: Sunny, no shade
Soil: Sandy, deep. It should not be prone to waterlogging; good drainage of the soil is very important for the plant’s health
Fertilisation: Incorporate organic fertilisers (e.g. manure) into the soil one year before planting; the organic substance must be well rotted.
The soil should be well supplied with nutrients before planting. Use magnesium-enhanced fertiliser; the pH should be between 5.5 and 6.4.

Planting Lubera® BlanchVite™ asparagus

Planting: Dig the planting hole twice as big as the pot. Place the plant approx. 10-20 cm into the ground.
Row spacing: 1.20 m
Planting distance: 25–40 cm in the row
Mounding up: Build a mound with a height of approx. 25–30 cm in the 2nd year. After the harvest, uncover and remove the mound. Cut back the foliage to ground level after the first frost. In cold regions and valleys, slightly cover the asparagus rows during the winter
Mound up the soil again in March
Harvest: From April to 1 June in the 2nd year; from April to 21 June in the 3rd year
White asparagus should be cut approx. 20–25 cm below the top of the soil
In the 2nd year, harvest 2–3 stalks per plant; in the 3rd year, harvest 3-5 stalks per plant; harvest 7–9 stalks per plant starting in the 4th year
Plant at least 5–10 plants for a good harvest; a lesser amount of plants can be planted if the asparagus will be used as a side dish and not as a main meal
